➔ Custom Training & Support

We partner with individuals, organizations and companies to build customized, strategic support and resources.

BSI’s team consults with teams, organizations, and networks – bringing insights from nature as guidance for collectively expanding what’s possible. By introducing and applying BIOS - Biologically-Inspired Organizational Strategies, we help leaders and their teams design transformative and regenerative structures, systems, and practices to transform strategically in these evolutionary times.

At the Agroecology Fund, we’ve worked with Toby for over 7 years, entrusting her to lead us through strategic planning, participatory program assessment and through sticky management conundrums. Each time, Toby, with her warmth and intelligence and creative use of biomimicry. helped us find excellent solutions. Toby has a gift for inclusivity, managing to bring together our diverse board of advisors, donors and grantees from across the world.
— Daniel Moss, Agroecology Fund Co-Director
As a consultant and facilitator, Toby is masterful in disarming a room of potent leaders, inviting dialogue nested in values found deep within the heart and creating space for reframing business discourse to one that invites the genius of nature into the conversation.
— Christine Lintott, Architect and Certified Biomimicry Professional

➔ Initiatives & Partnerships

  • Nature of Trust

The Nature of Trust Project is a collaboration between Biomimicry for Social Innovation (BSI) and Biomimicry 3.8 that combines biological research with real-world application to discover new models for social innovation using nature’s best strategies for building trust. Working alongside leaders in health equity and social change, the project explored how trust functions in living systems—and what those insights reveal for building stronger human relationships, organizations, and communities.

  • Indigenous Mycelium - Nature of Networks

From September 1–5, 2025, the Indigenous Mycelium Gathering brought together Indigenous leaders from Aotearoa/New Zealand and Southwest Turtle Island (Arizona and New Mexico), alongside biomimicry practitioners, social change leaders, and educators. Hosted at the Ocamora Retreat Center in Ocate, New Mexico, the gathering created an immersive space to explore how nature’s strategies and Indigenous wisdom could guide the growth of an Indigenous-led, globally connected human mycelium network.

  • Nature as Mentor

Nature as Mentor is a place-based educational tool that sparks inspiration, curiosity, and a sense of reverence as you see the “ordinary” nature around you with new eyes. The tool reconnects people with nature in their local communities, fostering a mindset shift that recognizes human interdependence and interconnectedness with nature.
